Prerequisite Hardware:
- Ardupilot Drone with Companion computer
If you don't have an ArduPilot drone, but plan to build one, but maybe unneasy about selecting and ordering all 40+ parts, check out our PiHawk drone kit with ALL the parts pre-selected, tested and vetted. We we will ship it to your front door!
Required Hardware:
- Raspberry Pi compatible camera (preferably PiCam V2)
- Rangefinder (choose one below or choose from here and install on your own)
- TF Mini Plus ($40, works up to 6m, Standard UART, can be manually configured to use I2C)
- LeddarOne ($130, works up to 40m, UART)
- Laptop for the field
- Any Hoc enabled USB dongle (Laptops typically have Ad-Hoc, but not great range)
- Simple Servo (for holding on to our package to deliver)
Optional but Recommended Hardware:
- 3D Printer (We use it for a PiCam mount AND Rangefinder mount)
- (For Navio2) Two USB telemetry modules AND External GPS
Tools/Supplies:
- Glue gun
- Mounting tape
- Electrical tape
- Gorilla Glue
- Some form of string to tie to drone (prevents flyaways when testing python based drone flight). Either hold it or tie it with slack to a object heavier than the drone's lift.

- 6x32 screws ¼” (3 of these)
- Soldering Iron
